The BCAE ESP (classified employee) Survey Results Are In:

 

128 Responses were collected:  5.5% Child Nutrition; 4.7% Custodians;  5.5% Bus Drivers; 6.3% Technology/Lab Assistants; 12.5% Secretaries; 51.6% Teacher Assistants; 14.1% Other

 Overall job Satisfaction: 

                                   38.3% Excellent

                                   45.3% Good

                                   12.5% Average

                                     3.9% Below Average

 

73.0% of the responses characterized their relationship with their immediate supervisor as one of trust and mutual respect

 

60.6% of the responses felt respected by their immediate supervisor

 

83.6% of the responses indicated they wanted BCAE to continue advocating for a living wage and a salary schedule for classified employees

 

95.3% of the responses felt safe at their workplace

 

The Top 5 issues that respondents indicated they felt BCAE should work on are:

 

               *  Salaries/Pay

               *  Improve Communication within our profession

              * Student Behavior Management

               * Improve BCAE's Communication to members and provide member's an opportunity to meet and discuss concerns.

             *  Retirement

BCAE is proud to report that as a result of the ESP Survey we now have:

                *  On going updates posted to our BCAE website  www.buncombencae.org

               * The monthly newsletter being sent by email to all BCAE members who have a home email address

* Our monthly newsletter posted to the BCAE website 

             * Posted the date each month for the Member's Dinner Meeting with the Superintendent on our Calendar Page of the BCAE website.  All BCAE/NCAE members are invited to attend at least one Member's Dinner Meeting with the Superintendent - if you have questions or want more details feel free to contact the BCAE office

            * A Contact Page to our website so members can submit questions, concerns, comments or update their contact information directly to the BCAE office.
